About the mission
PROMAN Staffing is happy to source and hire candidates for the Heat Treat Operator role in our client's Portland, TN facility. This is an excellent DIRECT HIRE opportunity for individuals with manufacturing experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment and take pride in maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor heat treat furnace equipment
- Load, move, and process metal products using barrel handling equipment
- Perform quality checks, testing, and process documentation
- Weigh, label, scan, and track production materials
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely
- Assist with equipment upkeep, basic repairs, and maintenance support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ year of manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in hot manufacturing environments
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and teamwork
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. and work overtime as needed
