PM Quality Technician in Joplin (MO)

Position Overview (Temp-to-Hire after 520 hours)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections and testing on raw materials, in-process products, finished goods, and packaging materials.
• Conduct chemical and physical analyses to verify product specifications are met.
• Monitor production processes and perform routine line audits and quality checks.
• Verify packaging integrity, closure torque, seam checks, and other quality control requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, corrective actions, and quality reports.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
• Identify and report out-of-specification results and quality concerns.
• Stop production and notify management when food safety or product quality concerns arise.
• Maintain a clean, organized laboratory and work environment.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of quality, laboratory, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of quality systems, food safety standards, GMPs, and regulatory compliance preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with ERP or quality management systems is a plus.
• Experience using measurement and inspection tools preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precise records.
• Ability to read and understand metric measurements.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, climbing, and balancing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and production noise.
