HR Coordinator Job Summary
The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support and coordination for HR and employment-related activities. This position supports recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, employee engagement, benefits, and compliance programs while serving as a resource for managers and employees.
HR Coordinator Responsibilities
- Support recruiting and staffing functions
- Schedule and coordinate interviews for candidates
- Process and track job requisitions and candidate activity
- Assist with temporary staffing needs and candidate scheduling
- Review and process new hire paperwork
- Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees
- Process payroll hours and maintain time-off records
- Assist with benefits administration and enrollment verification
- Support workers' compensation claim processing
- Track turnover metrics and prepare reports
- Respond to employee and management inquiries regarding HR, payroll, and benefits
- Run reports and assist with compliance, training, and performance management programs
- Complete additional HR-related projects as assigned
HR Coordinator Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources, Benefits, or Payroll experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with SuccessFactors HRIS is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions
