Welder Job Summary
- $19.00 may be higher with exceptional skills
- 4:00pm - 2:00am
- Some overtime required on Fridays
- As a Welder at Fanello Industries, a Family of Companies with Ryerson, you will be responsible for applying welding and fabricating processes to metal and ensuring quality and customer standards are met.
Welder Qualifications
- Applies appropriate welding and assembling applications in a fabrication environment and processes metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
- Must be able to read Blueprints
- Works according to the layouts, work orders, and blueprints MIG and TIG welding equipment; will need to lay out and mark weld points on parts or sub-assemblies of some material; will also need to position pieces to be welded into jigs and fixtures using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Inspects completed work for conformance to specifications
- Observes all standard safety practices and maintains and completes all required records
- Working in a safe manner as outlined during training and using prescribed safety equipment including PPE
- All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice
- Successfully pass a skills-based assessment - evaluates your reading, math, inspections & measurement, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in a steel or industrial manufacturing setting preferred Extensive MIG welding experience, TIG welding experience preferred
- Forklift and overhead crane experience
- Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility
- Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of their onboarding
