PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a well-known commercial fencing manufacturer in Batavia, IL. This client is an industry leader in commercial fencing with a strong reputation for taking on challenging projects and delivering with excellence.

With consistent growth over the last several years, they continue to expand and are looking for dependable, skilled team players to join their fabrication team.

Job Type: Full-Time | 1st Shift & 2nd shift

Position Summary

As a Welder, you’ll play a key role in fabricating and repairing high-quality metal components for commercial fencing projects. You’ll work from blueprints, cut and weld steel/aluminum parts, and ensure all finished pieces meet safety and quality standards.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has strong technical welding skills, and thrives in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut, weld, grind, and assemble metal components (panels, gates, structural supports).
• Read and interpret welding blueprints and specifications.
• Perform vertical, horizontal, uphill, overhead, and out-of-position welding.
• Inspect and test welds for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report any issues.
• Assist with general yard or fabrication shop duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Reliable transportation.
• Positive attitude and ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the trade (training provided).
• Welding certification or formal training preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, or fabrication equipment a plus.
