Physically demanding sawmill work with sawdust, outdoor conditions, and heavy lifting. Must have reliable transportation and steel toe boots.
PROMAN Staffing is hiring for a SAWMILL / MANUAL LABOR position!
Work for one of the largest pallet and lumber suppliers in Missouri and the Midwest.
This is hands-on, physical work in an outdoor sawmill environment — NOT light-duty work.
Location: Fredericktown, MO (near Cherokee Pass, outside of town)
Pay: Starting at $15/hr + attendance bonuses

What to Expect: Heavy manual labor in a working sawmill
- Outdoor conditions — heat, cold, sawdust, dirt, and wood debris
- Constant exposure to sawdust (in the air and on clothing)
- Fast-paced, physical production, general labor environment handling raw lumber
- lifting up to 50lbs regularly.
- Must be able to remain on your feet for the entire duration of the shift
Schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hours/week)
- Possible start times as early as 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM
- Occasional weekend work (rare)
- Possible mandatory overtime based on production needs.
Job Duties: General labor duties including sorting, stacking, and moving lumber
- Feeding lumber into sawmill and production machinery
- Handling wood products of various sizes in a manufacturing environment
- Maintaining a clean and safe industrial workspace
- Meeting production and quality standards
Requirements: This is a physically demanding SAWMILL / manual labor position
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working around sawdust and wood debris daily
- Physical stamina required — ability to work in an industrial, fast-paced environment
- Must be able to remain on your feet for the entire duration of the shift
- Repetitive movement and constant motion required throughout the shift
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation required (must have your own)
- Steel toe boots required (NOT provided)
- PPE provided and required at all times: hearing protection, safety glasses, and gloves
- STRONG attendance is REQUIRED
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-orientated
Attendance Bonuses: $10.00 bonus for every full 8-hour shift worked without interruption
- $100.00 bonus after 30 days of perfect attendance
- Arriving late, leaving early, or calling out will disqualify you from both bonuses
- Doctor’s notes do NOT excuse attendance for bonus eligibility
