PROMAN Staffing is hiring a Machinist for a leading manufacturing company in Arnold, MO. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on machining experience who can read blueprints, operate shop equipment, and work safely and efficiently in a production environment.
Location: Arnold, MO
Pay Range: $15.00–$21.00 per hour (based on experience)
2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:45PM- 12AM
3rd Shift: Monday - Friday 1:45PM- 8AM
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, detailed sketches, and diagrams to perform accurate machining operations.
- Operate machinery to cut, shape, and modify various materials according to specifications.
- Comply with all safety practices and procedures; verify machine safety before operating.
- Perform hands‑on tasks including MIG welding, polishing, adjusting speeds, and setting machine parameters.
- Use hand tools such as files, scrapers, and hammers to finish or adjust parts.
- Operate equipment commonly found in a tool room effectively and efficiently.
- Work under the mentorship of a Tool & Die Maker to perform basic setup and operate machine shop equipment.
- Apply basic mechanical techniques to assemble or repair machine parts.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain on your feet for the entire shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic mathematical skills required.
Qualifications:
- 1 -2 years of machining experience preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions.
- Familiarity with MIG welding, polishing, and machine settings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.
- Reliable transportation; must be able to commute to Arnold, MO or plan to relocate.
