Our client is seeking a Lead Maintenance Mechanic for a direct hire opportunity within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading maintenance operations, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, and ensuring safe and efficient facility performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead maintenance staff in troubleshooting equipment issues
- Use eMaint to schedule and assign maintenance tasks
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and test production machinery
- Manage parts inventory and coordinate with vendors
- Operate machine shop tools (lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses)
- Support general facility and building maintenance
- Maintain a safe, clean, compliant work environment
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical training preferred
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repair skills
- Fork truck and scissor lift experience
- Electrician certification a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Work Environment
- Exposure to machinery, chemicals, and loud noise; PPE may be required
